By plane

It is preferable way of getting to Kraków. The Kraków Airport (KRK) is located about 11 km from the city center. It is the second busiest airport in Poland in terms of the volume of passengers served annually (approximately  6 Million in 2017).

How to get from the airport to the city center:

Option 1 – by Taxi (about 17 km)
Time: 25 – 50 min (depending on the traffic)
Cost: from 50 PLN (12 Euro) if you take one from taxi stop at the terminal exit;

Option 2 – by Bus (Line 208)
Time: 40 min
Cost: 1 Euro/person (the tickets can be bought at the bus in the ticket machine)
The bus leaves at: 20 min past every hour (except 10 a.m. and 12 a.m.) from 5 a.m. – 9 p.m. From stop “Kraków Airport 1” (please see point A) you need to take the bus line 208. You get off the bus at the end of the line (bus stop “Dworzec Główny Wschód” (Railway Station) (please see point B).

Option 3 – by Train (KMŁ)
Time: by train about 19 min
Cost: 2 Euro/person (the tickets can be bought in a ticket machine at the platform or in terminal, please choose the destination to “Kraków Główny”)
In order to get to the train station go through the sky-walk from terminal (take the ramp in Terminal 1). The train leaves at: there is one train per hour usually leaves at 33 – 40 min past every hour, you can check the timetable at Be aware that due to the railway renovation one train and one substitute bus leave per hour from the train station. The train leaves from “Kraków Lotnisko/Airport” station (please see point A). The journey will take about 19 min to the station “Dworzec Główny Kraków”.

By train

Kraków is connected by railway with the most cities in the Central Eastern region of Europe. Although the travel usually takes about 8 hours from Vienna, Prague or Berlin. Information on tickets booking can be found at the address:
